Amridge University has been providing distance learning programs at the university level longer than a vast majority of the other colleges and universities across the United States currently offering distance learning programs. In fact, Amridge University was selected by the United States Department of Education to serve as one of the original 15 Distance Education Demonstration program sites. Utilizing this experience, Amridge University provides students with a comprehensive approach to the on-line learning experience. Students have access to quality on-line programs and services that are provided by experienced and highly qualified faculty and are supported by the latest video and audio classroom interactive systems, leading-edge courseware system, and a full array of on-line library services available to all Amridge University students 24-hours a day, 7-days a week. Also, Amridge University has on-line and telephone technical support for the on-line courseware system available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week as well as on-line tutoring services.Amridge University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.Mission Amridge University is an independent, coeducational institution dedicated to the spirit of its Christian ideals and heritage. The University presents fairly all significant viewpoints on major issues and promotes freedom of inquiry. However, certain key positions are firmly established by Biblical evidence, and we believe should be upheld. Between 30-40% of Amridge University’s student body are from various religious faiths. Students are free to formulate individual positions. No one is required to sign a creedal statement of belief. Amridge University is happy to have students from various religious backgrounds enrolled in its courses.The University's understanding of the Christian religion includes the following tenets about its source of authority, central doctrines, polity and worship of the church, and the conduct of the Christian life.Financial AidThe mission of the Financial Aid Office is to inform and assist the student regarding the available options for assistance with the financial obligations associated with their post-secondary education. By definition financial aid is money supplied by a source other than the family to assist with the costs of a student’s education. If you do not plan to make payment in full for tuition and fees at the time of registration, you will need to complete the Financial Aid Application.To determine your eligibility for federal grants and student loans you must complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for the appropriate year with the Dept of Education. If additional information is required you will be notified by the Amridge University Financial Aid Office.
