The college was founded in 1961 in Syracuse, New York. And its first Residence Hall was opened in August, 2006.Onondaga Community College is an accredited two-year educational institution that services Onondaga County, New York at three campuses. Onondaga Community College offers two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. College offers nearly 50 programs leading to associates degrees and also college offers 7 Associate Degrees and one Certificate online program. Over 30 disciplines offer courses online at Onondaga Community College, from accounting to biology to sociology to math. All its programs have been carefully designed to cover the same course material and fulfill the same criteria as their traditional counterparts. The curriculum of the programs enables students to achieve the academic objectives they expect from any degree or certificate granted by State University of New York (SUNY).
