Since November 5, 2007 Florida Metropolitan University Online is named as Everest University Online. It offer the same great instructors, staff and classes – just with a nationally recognized name. Florida Metropolitan (Everest) University Online learning started in the winter quarter of 1999 and five courses were offered on two campuses. Everest expanded its online course offerings to include all nine Everest campuses for the winter quarter of 2000. Also at this period the approval to develop online enrollment for any of the courses within the standardized Business Administration program was received. In the Fall of 2001 the university received the additional approval which gave the opportunity to offer the Accounting and Criminal Justice programs online.Since the winter term of 2000, courses have been consistently added within these Associate's and Bachelor's degrees. Today it is possible to complete all the coursed necessary to receive degrees online; Master's programs are also included.The courses are built and maintained on the eCollege platform, which is media intensive and has highly effective pedagogical and course authoring tools.
