Bristol Community College aims to provide educational opportunity and solid career preparation in southeastern Massachusetts. An open admission policy, affordable costs, liberal financial aid resources, and flexible class schedules put a college education within the reach of every student.Bristol Community College was officially instituted by the Massachusetts Board of Regional Community Colleges in December 1965. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. In February 2002, BCC won National Bellwether Award (Workforce Development).
Academics and AdmissionMore than 90 programs of study lead to an associate degree in science, associate degree in arts, associate in applied science or a certificate.
The College offers rolling admissions, which means prospective students can apply at any time during the year. Students are accepted to begin in September, January, or the summer. Application for competitive degree programs, including Child Care, Clinical Laboratory Science, Complementary Healthcare, Dental Hygiene, Healthcare Information, Nursing and Occupational Therapy Assistant will receive priority consideration if a complete application package is received by January 15.Bristol Community College does not require the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) All incoming freshman will complete a computerized placement test in Reading, English, Arithmetic, and Algebra.Earning the first two years of a baccalaureate degree at BCC is an affordable alternative to the high tuition and living expenses ofa residential college. With excellent teaching faculty and educational resources available at BCC, students are sure to receive top-notch education.
Distance Learning Opportunities
Students at BCC can expand their options through distance learning. They can customize their learning experience to match their educational goals, learning styles, and add some flexibility to the busy schedule. There are a number of degrees and certificates offered online. Students can obtain the A.S. Computer Information Systems with two options of Computer Programming and that of Multimedia and Internet. Moreover, the following Certificate Programs are available completely online: Computer Programming, Multimedia Development, Desktop Publishing Technology, Basic Web Page Development, Information Technology Fluency, and Information Technology Teaching.
Students can also take advantage of the courses offered online, partially online and through eLearning 101 classes.

The campus sits conveniently located off routes 24 and 195, with the campus buildings clustered around a pond.The College also operates a campus in downtown New Bedfordand satellite campuses at the Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical High School in New Bedford, Attleboro High School in Attleboroand at Taunton High School in Taunton.
